'The Gas Rush' - FOUR CORNERS 21/2/11 8.30pm - Reminder
The ABC is broadcasting an exposé on Coal Seam Gas and its impact on farming and rural communities on its Four Corners Program on the 21st of February on its ABC1 channel at 8:30.
Wow! What a scary glimpse at the gas industry of Queensland. No regulation over the chemicals used in fracking. Depletion and contamination of the Great Artesian Basin. Erosion of landowner rights. The list goes on. And all in a country that has solar energy potentially in abundance. We have to win power back from these destructive industries and protect our natural resources for the future. There are no jobs or economies on a dead planet.
